“We draw to see, not to impress. The line is already waiting on the paper.”Studio note · Joone Ateljee
Telliskivi atelier
A room built for adults who want real hours at the easel
Joone Ateljee sits on Telliskivi 60a, a short walk from the creative quarter’s cafés and galleries. The space is set up for grown-up practice: tall easels, a shared still-life stand, charcoal trays, and a rinse sink that has seen every shade of umber. We keep classes small so feedback stays specific, and we leave open studio blocks for painters who already know their next step.
Whether you are returning to drawing after years away or refining a painting series for exhibition, the studio offers structure without noise. Materials lists are clear, sessions start on time, and the atmosphere stays calm enough to hear the pencil.

What you will find
Charcoal, linen, and the slow discipline of looking
Our shelves hold vine charcoal, kneaded erasers, oil mediums, and paper that can take a firm hand. Beginners borrow starter kits; returning painters bring their own boards. The schedule above is our spine; seasonal workshops appear when a visiting tutor or a new still-life theme deserves a dedicated week.
If you want a place that treats adult learning seriously—without performance pressure or children’s-class leftovers—start with a class or book an open studio afternoon and see how the room fits your pace.
