How we teach adults
Adult learners often apologise for rusty skills. We do not. Rust is information. We build from observation, not from copying trending styles. Homework is optional but designed for kitchen-table scales — thirty minutes of contour drawing beats a heroic weekend binge that never repeats.
Instructors demonstrate once, then circulate. Feedback is specific to your page. Groups stay small so conversation does not drown concentration. Materials lists arrive when you book; beginners can borrow basic pencils, charcoal, and acrylic starter kits for early visits.
Open studio runs beside the class calendar so independent work has a real room instead of a kitchen table. Many members alternate a guided session with an independent afternoon. That rhythm keeps skills moving without filling every calendar square with instruction.
